Enjoy Cleaning Again with Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day (+ a Giveaway!)
I actually love to clean. No, that's not true...when I'm in a bad mood I love to clean. It's the best way for me to let out any frustration and be super productive at the same time. Running? Working out? Punching something? Nope. Cleaning does it for me. I've talked about my love of clean floors here before and that is only matched by my love of clean countertops and basically everything else. Thanks a lot, mom. You've raised a clean freak. And on top of having my mom encouraging my love of all things clean, I now also have Mrs. Meyer's, because she makes everything smell so dang good.
Please understand something: this DOES NOT MEAN my house is always clean. I repeat: this does not mean my house is always clean!!! Just this morning I filled up the Dyson canister just cleaning the nursery alone! So much dust and hair and lord only knows what else...YUCK!
So how do I keep on top of cleaning? I do it one of two ways: I get little bits done at a time each day OR I go on a complete cleaning spree and don't stop until it's all done. Good tips, right? Insert eye-roll here.Honestly, though there are two things that are important to me these days when cleaning: 1- does it actually work? 2- is it safe for my kids? If a product doesn't pass that easy test, I'm not using it. Mrs. Meyer's passes the test AND does it while smelling absolutely AMAZING!!!! No, seriously. Have you ever smelled any of this stuff? So dang good. This Basil scent right here is my fave so far.
Up until just this year, Mrs. Meyer's was only available to our American friends, but that's all changed now. The Lemon Verbena scent is so fresh without being too lemon-y. I'm not normally a fan of anything with a citrus smell, but this? This I love. So much so that I think it may make me enjoy laundry!Say whaaaaaaat?!?!
Ok, never mind. That's crazy talk. No one enjoys laundry, right? Right. But when laundry smells THIS GOOD, it just makes you feel better about life in general.Kind of like Luther...
