The Friday Five: Fallify - It's a Thing!

Hello my dearests!Wondering about fallify?  It's a thing, believe me!Fallify: The act of decorating your house, or any other area, in a fall theme. Fallifying usually occurs during the months of September or October, and usually involves lots of pumpkins and/or cornucopias. (Thanks Urban Dictionary!!)  Also, blogger extraordinaire Lauren used it in a few of her posts already (this one first, I think), so it's definitely a real word.Ok so this week we're talking Fall decor.  You'll recall just last night, I mentioned I'm not much for Fall decorating myself, but I pulled some things out, dusted them off and set up my own understated little corner of the house in full Fall fashion!  Now let's see what other people make happen with all of the Fall goodness we have readily available to us this month!

Here are this week's picks:

Fall-Decor-Two-Purple-CouchesHave you met Emily of Two Purple Couches?  If you said no to that, you're missing out.  Big time.  She's this totally cool chic who loves handmade things and ummm... hello... have you met her adorable felted acorns?  Insane.  So cute!  She has a tour of her whole home all decked out for Fall, so you should go and see it!

eb4766d709ca226268d788ac371aa6cf"Use what you have."  Words a girl like me (especially this month) can definitely live by!  Isn't this centerpiece beautiful without being too obvious and trying too hard?  Melissa from The Inspired Room created it this week and I instantly fell in love with it.  Especially because it's made with fruit, which I'm allowed to buy because it's FOOD!

ChooseYourOwnAdventure-650Be warned: you're about to fall more in love with Lauren.  This is the most fun house tour I have ever been on!!!  You get to pick your own room(s) and tour the house a different way depending on the choices you make.  I, of course, did it twice so I could see the entire thing.  It was awesome!  Go play at The Thinking Closet!

spiderweb_succulent_3_616Yeah, it's not a secret I can't keep succulents alive - tidbit of information I should have known before I killed all of mine: they need direct sunlight.  Lots of it!  I don't get direct sunlight for more than 2 hours in my house because all of our windows are North and South-facing.  So succulents die at my hands.  But hey, if you have light (or if you wouldn't intend on re-planting these later), you should totally try this project out!  I think it looks pretty darn clever!  Found via Apartment Therapy, but the creator is Kelly Smith Trimble and you can see her work on The DIY Network blog.

live-a-more-colorful-lifeCompletely.  Obsessed.  I love how daring and bold this pumpkin is.  K, wow, there's a sentence I NEVER thought I would use!  Seriously, go back and read that.  It's about a PUMPKIN.  A totally awesome and colourful pumpkin by Sibylle of Funky Time.  LOVE.

I'll be back tomorrow.  Yep... I've written 11 in a row without a single day missed.  Can I make it to 31???

Let's find out together!
