Triangle Wreath for Fall

DIY
Feather-Triangle-Wreath-6.jpg

Well, my friends, in the spirit of keeping it real, here's what happened when I tried to make a triangle wreath:

  1. the kids stole my supplies
  2. I then had exactly 3 dowels left to make the darn thing (thank goodness that's all I needed)
  3. my camera decided to do some very weird things (or I temporarily forgot how to use one from exhaustion and frustration) and all of my images turned out blurry and/or hazy
  4. I had all of like 12 hours to make, photograph, and post about this wreath because I've bitten off more than I can chew. Can anyone out there relate?

Basically, this ought to be the worst blog post you've seen from me since I started blogging in 2012, taking pictures at night on my iPhone 3.With all that said, here's said wreath...It's actually super easy to make, and I used only  materials I already had at home (because everyone has random feathers laying around, right?).

materials

  • 3 small dowels
  • wire (like floral wire)
  • feathers

I started by just laying out the dowels, like so...Then I wrapped the wire around each of the corners about 3-4 times. It doesn't need a ton of security. Now came the fun part: adding the feathers.I simply wrapped some wire around the feathers, and tucked a final, top feather into the corner, or made sure there was only one string of wire on the outside. That's it!It's a super easy tutorial (if we can call it that), and also a lesson not to leave things to the last-minute when you have a bunch of super cool people that are making wreaths with you and you're all posting about it on the same day. Did I not mention that before?Oh yeah, there are more wreaths for you to go and see today, and I guarantee you they'll have better photos, so head on over to take a look!
